It’s surprising that a single extra sulfur atom is all that stands between a life-linked molecule and a common gas like ethane, making it really easy to misread the readings.
Every sign of live further away than the International Space Station should be questioned unless it’s actually waving back…
This is what scientists are supposed to be doing, so I can’t wait to find out what more study and research determine.
This is so annoying. What is actually going on. I keep reading some scientists say that there’s so much gas in the atmosphere, something has to be putting it out. Then there’s other scientists that say there is barely anything there.
I have a lot of respect for these scientists, but they really need to make doubly and triply sure that what they’ve found is significant or not *before* sharing their findings with the public. This is like the 2nd time that has happened!
People are posting „possible signs of life“ articles every day now. How are we not supposed to be a bit pessimistic?
