    1. > When Hillary Clinton was US first lady, a furore erupted over reports that she had once made $US100,000 from a $US1000 investment in cattle futures. Even though it had happened a dozen years before her husband became president, it became a scandal that lasted weeks and forced the White House to initiate a review.

      > Thirty-one years later, after dinner at US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, Amazon executive chairman Jeff Bezos agreed to finance a promotional film about first lady Melania Trump that will reportedly put $US28 million ($43 million) directly in her pocket – 280 times the Clinton lucre and in this case from a person with a vested interest in policies set by her husband’s government. Scandal? Furore? Washington moved on while barely taking notice.

    2. This information either doesn’t make it to the right wing media silos, or it’s written off as TDS.

“It’s just libs looking for something to complain about. Nothing to see here. If it was really that corrupt, Trump wouldn’t be doing it out in the open. He’s completely transparent yet libs still lie about him!”

    3. My, oh my! Aren’t you silly!

      Those are official acts.

Why just the other day 47 hid behind the presidential seal while hawking crypto at his private club. That must be an official act.

And remember…. SCOTUS said „offal acts“ are A-OK!

      No need for outrage.

The right elected a felon they basically gave him permission to be as corrupt as he wants. They do not care many Support it.

    5. It is there. What is lacking yet is dynamic, real leadership to organize it & get us moving in a useful, effective direction that can do anything about it. Too many that could possibly do this, mostly already elected to office, seem not to be energized yet to do anything except complain some as they do their jobs.

    6. 45% of the country could watch the dude shoot people on 5th avenue and they wouldn’t care.

15% of the country doesn’t pay attention to anything unless it’s packaged in 15 second tik tok videos.

10% of the country is happy their one single issue gets attention and doesn’t care about anything else.

And 30% of us are outraged, have been outraged, and have spent years warning the other 70% that exactly this kind of thing and worse would happen…. And are told they are deranged and hysterical.

There’s plenty of outrage from many of us. The lack of outrage is from the people he’s grifting because they don’t believe it’s happening.

    8. Where is the media? They covered every misstep Biden made like ducks on June bugs, but nary a peep now.

    9. Outrage that is not backed by justice is a waste of breath. You live in a Christo-fascist dictatorship.

If you want your country back now, your actions are going to have to be nothing short of revolutionary.

Republicans don’t care. They have all three branches of govt. We if nothing else from here on out now clearly understand… It was NEVER about religion, guns, or conservatism. It was about power and greed. Fuck all of them.

I thought the headline said „molesting the presidency“ at first, which would also work.

Could it be because the media has failed since he came down that escalator? They have failed at every turn to call out Jo Jo the idiot boy and show him for what he really is

    13. StormOk7544 on

MAGA would thank Trump if he shot one of their family members on 5th avenue. And I guess centrists and swing voters are lost in “both sides” and/or give Trump a pass because he’s a funny meme guy or they think tariffs will magically solve the economy.

    14. We’re all aware that he brazenly does whatever he wants and had been for quite a while

Unless he gets held accountable, its going to continue to happen and we all know it

    15. I see plenty of outrage among online people. But the modern day Woodwards and Bernsteins have been neutered, so the outrage just kind of stays with the civilians. No big media outlet is going to crusade against any of this.

    16. greenman5252 on

Just look at the large number of well attended protests every week across the nation

    17. The right wing media leaves things open ended by asking questions, like why are companies hiring hunter? or when did you know Biden mental health was declining? Why did Hilary abandon the people at the Benghazi embassy? Then they run it on loop, and trap politicians with said questions, as if said questions are already verifiable truths, hence trapping anyone they ask about said issues.

Trump is being held to 0 standards because either the left expect him to be corrupt and the right doesn’t care so moderates don’t care either, while if this was Biden pardoning his son then the left will care and the right being immoral hypocrites will care hence moderates seeing both sides care think this issue is bipartisan and care.

You can see this same thing happen with the free Palestine movement, they only target left wing politicians so to a moderate this seems like it’s the left causing all the bombings in Palestine and the right has no hand in this issue(one of the most useless movements in history).

There is something fundamental wrong with the left ability to set the narrative, the news media and the left wing pundit need to be morally consistent and attempt to be unbiased by painting false equivalency and the right wing cult like mentality where they play dumb to their hypocrisy, and double down on their insane claims means the left always loses in the eyes of a moderate.

Where is the outrage? Seriously? It’s everywhere; how can you miss it?

    19. Random-Name-7160 on

The entire economy is a joke. That’s why there’s no outrage. Application of the rules (legal consequences) are inversely proportional to wealth. The more you have, the more you can take, the less you have, the more that gets taken from you.

Is it so shocking that they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore? Not really. No.

    20. TheWorldEndsin2035 on

Answer: it’s far more profitable for our billionaire-owned news media to suppress the outrage so they can get a piece of this wonderful corruption. Also, thanks to the last two generations of politicians, corruption has become normalized.

    21. Reptoidizoid on

Im pretty sure everyone is exhausted at this point. I dont know how much more orange I can take

    22. >where is the outrage.

NOT BEING COVERED BY OUR MEDIA.

Geez. Doesn’t nean it doesn’t fucking exist.

    23. Rascals-Wager on

We can’t all be at a level 10 outrage all the time without burning out. There has been SO much to be outraged at that everyone is already fatigued and numb to the constant deplorable actions of Trump and his administration.

    24. It’s a sad fact, but the majority of the voting population in this country simply do not give a solitary shit about this.

He’s an old, crazy rich white man in power, so that means business as usual for most of us. Even when masked men come beating down the doors of citizens, most of us will just keep doing whatever we are told to do.

Some of us will fight. Maybe we will win someday, but then we will still have to handle the apathetic masses.

    25. What’s the point in getting outraged when nobody with power is going to do anything about it?
