I wanted to link to a [Times Radio](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDVkP6VwVwU) interview with [Brooks Newmark](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooks_Newmark), the former President of the Harvard Alumni Association and former Conservative Cabinet Minister, but it’s not on the approved list.
There’s a theory that #47’s feud with Harvard is really about his son Barron’s application being rejected, though I haven’t been able to confirm it, but it wouldn’t surprise me, considering the Orange Tool doesn’t handle rejection – responded to PM Carney with „never say never“.
Surprised none of them have masters or MBA’s of any kind, all super general undergrad degrees that require minimal effort to achieve.

One of the core tenets of Christian Nationalism and Project 2025 is attacking and destroying universities in the USA, because they embrace ideas like evolution that are perceived to be anti-religion. 47 is just following through on his campaign promises.
Well, if Trump had done what Jared Kushner’s dad did and made a donation to Harvard, Barron could be there right now. But Trump is too cheap and short-sighted for that.
This is possible but I wouldn’t discount the possibility that it was Daddy Trump who was rejected 50+ years ago being the motivation. It’s quite possible papi Trump couldn’t buy a spot for his all those years ago and I wouldn’t put it past Trump to hold a grudge that long.
I don’t think Trump cares about his children. So I doubt he would care if they got rejected. He probably doesn’t even know what school his kid goes too.

One poster pointed out that Trump doesn’t care about anyone except himself. So the most likely explanation is that he was rejected by Harvard and had to pretend to attend his backup school, Penn.
I cannot believe Donald and Don jr. earned a bachelor degree in economics. That’s total bullshit for sure.
Barron’s mother wasn’t born in the United States, so he shouldn’t automatically be considered a citizen.
And Barron’s father is trying to ban Harvard from admitting non-American students.

I think it’s more that Harvard represents the kind of old-money, elite system that Trump aspires to, but that hates him. He desperately wants to belong, but it will have nothing to do with him. Therefore, he hates it.
Harvard is basically the height of the US university system. It’s wealthy (wealthiest?), prestigious, and graduates the those that will go on to become Supreme Court Justices, Congresspeople, and business leaders.
Couple that with Project 2025’s goal to essentially destroy the US university system as we know it and you have two factors that see Harvard at the target they need to make an example of. Humiliate and defeat Harvard and the other universities will fall in line.

I really don’t give a damn where the evil spawn applied or is paying to get a diploma. Trump is after them because they didn’t cave to his unrealistic demands like other colleges did. It’s tragic that colleges ,businesses,trucking industry and the media cave to his authoritarian demands, America and the rest of the world must stand up to him and refuse to kiss the mushroom
If he’s as smart as his dad, kid would be lucky to get into any college.
