Hallo zusammen, ich helfe meiner Mutter beim Reinigen des Kellers und wir fanden eine Smile -Sammlung von Umschlägen, die ihrem Großvater gehören.
Es ist eine Art Sammlung, die wir denken. Wir erkennen einige Dinge oder können zu diesem Zweck erraten: Briefmarken und einige Geschäfts-/Werbekarten. Aber wir haben keine Ahnung, was der Zweck der anderen Dinge sein könnte.
Wir haben ein paar Fotos gemacht. 2 der Umschläge haben Jahre auf sich, sodass wir die Umschläge im Interbellum platzieren können.
Weiß jemand, was der Zweck des kleinen Kartons ist?

It says ‚Borduurwerk‘ in pencil on the envelope. That means ‚Embroidery‘ in Dutch. So I guess all of this stuff is meant to be embroidered on clothing and uniforms. Some of them are also „Eeretekens“, which means as much as ‚badges of honour‘. But they are all playful, ironic or just for advertising (Elixir d’Anvers is an alcoholic beverage).
It says „Elexir d’Anvers“ on some of them, so I guess it’s something you got when buying bottles of that

The round one that says „2 euro“ looks familiar, I think it was used for unlocking shopping carts at the grocery store.
These look like LSD stamps. Don’t lick ‚em unless you wanna go trippin.
My guess would be collectables from the liqueur company, and maybe you are missing the album. So there may have been a section where you put all the card board medals, one where you collect all the playing cards…
We still have old albums of pictures that came with packs of cigarettes, from about the same time.
