And we will. Also, will probably have the last laugh after the budget cuts hit the rural poor.

    2. That would be either Obama or Biden.

Trump is ranked the _worst_ president in US history in every academic survey.

I respect that he is hurting his voters and they’re still too stupid to be upset by it. That’s about it.

    4. GuyMakesDrawings on

It’s objectively untrue. You could say that the people who don’t respect him are wrong (if that’s your position) but he isn’t respected by millions upon millions of people, that’s just a fact.

My favorite part is Mike Johnson’s subtle laugh when he says it.

Public ass kissing and foreign bribes= respect for republicans. Right, got it.

    7. Colonel_Zander on

The day after the South African president took a shit on Trump’s bribes.

Respect is not a cult clapping like a seal when the leader cuts their Medicaid

    9. I am laughing, yes. This administration and this Congress (and this SCOTUS) are a joke.

Unfortunately, the joke is on us. And future generations who will grow up in an embarrassed and diminished America. MAGA is a stain on our history.

They seriously have to believe that this shit show will never crash down and leave them without power. They have to know that they are completely fucked if they lose and I doubt that pardons will save them.

I love that he’s busting up laughing WHILE trying to force those words out of his mouth.

Laugh all you want, Mike, it IS objectively funny.

I believe this is true of the low information electorate, the ones who mainline Newsmax and Breitbart and Charlie Kirk.

    13. YoungestDonkey on

He’s both the most respected by a minority of MAGAsses and the most disdained by a majority of the rest of the nation and the world.

Sorry, I had a hard time understanding what Johnson was saying with his head so far up Trump’s ass.

    15. Lost_Minds_Think on

Johnson laughed first. He couldn’t even get through his own tee up without a snicker.

    16. hatesturnips on

Respected??? No, no, no you got that wrong. You meant to say DETESTED.

That man is loathed the world over.

The whole dear leader thing with Trump is fucking nauseating. Say what you want about democrats, Ive NEVER in my life seen any democratic bootlicking like the repugs do with Trump. Its so phony and frankly unamerican. They really eat up that soviet bullshit and think they are somehow patriots. Patriots hold the FLAG, the CONSTITUTION, and the DECLARATION sacred, NOT PEOPLE, NOT PRESIDENTS. GROW UP ALREADY!!!

    18. By whom?

Dude just surpassed the worst president of all time according to rating polls and that president was trump in the first trump era.

    19. Trump threatening everyone does not equate to respect.

The U.S. is the laughing stock of the world right now but unfortunately it’s not funny as his idiotic decisions quite often stretch further than U.S. borders and have global effects.

One day this idiotic merry-go-round of a Presidency is going to come to a screeching halt and it’s not going to be pretty. That’s the mistake facists always make: they assume they will be in power forever.

Any person that actually respects Trump (**at all**) is a person that ***no*** other people should respect (**at all**).

Trump and his supporters have nothing worthwhile to say, nothing worthwhile to think and nothing worthwhile to pay attention to.

They are, quite literally, monstrously stupid sewer people.

And, people who are actually worth something, do not want anything to do with any of that nonsensical shit. I know this sounds elitist, but…..Republicans and Trump are fully allowed to simply just ***be*** better people.

It’s ***not our fault that they consistently opt OUT of being a better person.*** It’s also not our fault that not a single one of them ever so much as **thinks** of becoming a better person. They. Are. Filth. Seriously, I don’t know why people bother „arguing“ with Republican voters since; for Republican voters they „argue“ in bad faith *100% of the time*. **They cannot be trusted to be genuine**. Ergo: STOP ASKING THEM ABOUT ANYTHING and STOP caring about what they fucking think. It’s everyone ELSE we need to get to be paying attention, not wasting our time arguing with monstrously stupid sewer people.

Mike Johnson’s entire life is based on not being shoved in a locker in high school again

I know the fascists are taking every measure possible to never have to let go of power and never face any accountability for what they’ve done, and they may succeed.

But if they don’t…their fall from grace is going to legendary. Since the dawn of history humans have been writing stories of how hubris is power’s kryptonite. Never mind our politics, never mind our rotten culture, you just can’t be this much of a dick and never face the music. You just can’t. The laws of nature demand it. You can’t antagonize and gloat and chest thump this much without the bill ever coming due.

Think about history, think about myth, think about literature. Who has ever behaved with this much arrogance and come out on top?

Democrats thought they would never lose an election again after 2008. That lasted two years. Republicans are repeating that mistake with a much smaller election win and far worse sore winner behavior.

      >“Today wouldn’t be possible without the leadership of arguably the most powerful, and the most successful and the most respected president in the modern era of the United States,” the Speaker said.

I’m beginning to think Mike has a humiliation fetish.

Why do republicans insist on using so much hyperbole around Trump? It seems like everything he says or does is somehow the best, smartest, most amazing thing ever. I genuinely don’t understand how people can glaze someone that much.

    25. Didn’t Trump make fun of John McCain like not even 24 hours after his death? There is a mountain of evidence to the contrary that Trump is in fact a terrible person whom I will never respect.

    26. Trump is respected. He’s feared, but not in a good way. He’s feared in the way you fear the drunken Syphillitic monkey with a gun. You aren’t sure what’s going to happen, but you’re pretty sure it’s not gonna be good.
