The most pro-Armenian comments that I heard so far from the Trump administration.
I’m still annoyed at the administration for failing to properly acknowledge the genocide, but this is an excellent statement from Rubio.
> Rubio also acknowledged the challenge of engaging with authoritarian regimes: “We have to deal with countries that in many cases do not have an ideal model”.
Nice to see the shade too, Aliyev won’t be happy.
> Congressman Chris Smith directly condemned Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s actions and demanded urgent U.S. intervention. “Aliyev is a dictator… release those prisoners. They’re being horribly mistreated,” Smith said. “It’s very clear that after the genocide committed by Aliyev against the Armenians, there are many, many political prisoners and POWs being held. I would just encourage you to do whatever you can to get those men and women released”.
Credit to Chris Smith, Jim Costa, & all the other pro-Armenia Congress reps. for speaking out!
The lip-service is definitely better than the administration’s treatment of Ukraine, but I doubt any actual „help“ will be much better. I’m a non-Armenian American so I’m not good with this sort of speculation, but is there any hope Iran would intervene?
So Trump really meant Armenian-Azerbaijani war when during the meeting with Zelensky
he said he is preventing a war between two small countries.
Someone remind me how much credibility American politicians have again?
This will all be meaningless after one phone call from his buddy Erdogan on behalf of Azerbaijan.
Zartonk again sensationalises and distorts. It’s not a news source but an opinionated online profile that probably shouldn’t be consumed or shared.
The actual wording (which they at least share in the post) is a lot tamer than the thumbnail. But invasion sounds a lot more urgent and fear inducing than “The risk of renewed armed conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia remains, and efforts are being made by Washington to prevent it,” which is how it’s being reported by more responsible sources.

Of course, any “renewed armed conflict” would pretty much be an invasion by Azerbaijan, but there is a reason diplomats use the language they use and proper news sources don’t put personal spins on it, and we’re all better off not consuming things that are designed to keep us constantly on edge and misinformed.
Yeah fucking right. Bullshit just like every single thing coming out of this administration.
Take everything these morons say about helping Armenia with a GIANT Ararat Mt. sized grain of salt.
Interesting how the Trump administration has „working“ to prevent an invasion, while during Biden it wasn’t an ongoing work to prevent it, it was done.
Aliyev is as loose as ever with Trump, after all, he loves Erdogan. Not forgetting Israel heavily backing Az, I do hope the current scuffle between Trump and Natenyahu lasts, for our sake, but i doubt it.
Sounds great but the Trump regime changes its views on most everything depending on the last person who Trump spoke to, kissed his ass, bought his bitcoin, etc.
We lost Artsakh under Trump and yet Zartonk, ANCA, and Tashnag bums think Trump and Republicans actually care about Armenia because of the lip service. They wont even call 1915 a genocide.
Idiots the lot of them
