My immediate reaction was no, that’s ridiculous, but after reading that article I’m now thinking, no, but maybe?
What I think is most absurd is they are postulating that naked singularities are a thing. That’s even more wild than the idea of parasitic blackholes within white dwarves. They probably be rare and not very stable, but still. A black hole without an event horizon. A wild idea that would probably have to remain speculation until we go to one in person.
