The budget section of the article does not do the liberals any favours, we knew we’d have to run a deficit but it sounds like it’s going to be an absolutely massive one by the way Carney is talking about his plans

All through the election we kept hearing how Carney is an economic guru and he has a plan. A budget is a plan. Start by delivering that to Canadians.
It’s our summit as hosts, and by extension we do lead the talks… but I don’t think that these other countries are going to be taking lessons on how to be stable from our shambles of an economy. We’ve been completely stagnant as a country economically since the post-pandemic recovery wore off.
We’re more aspirational leaders than leaders by example on this topic, really.
