Paywalled. But I choose to assume people are calling for the project to use CANDU Monarch reactors and not for scrapping the nuclear power project altogether.

I get the ick but we need the nuclear energy. We’re building LNG but we haven’t built any reactors since the 90s. Generally I’d expect Ford to give in to polling that high but I hope he realizes the backlash he’d get when people saw the bill to cancel and the cost of an alternative. We’d probably just end up ordering them from GE Hitachi again in 20 years at 10x the price.
It’s a little late for that. What we should be doing is stopping ford from his other disastrous plan, like the hwy 401 tunnel.
