Submission Statement: The leaders of France and Germany have called to repeal the EU’s „Ethical Supply Chain“ Laws. The „Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive“ requires European companies to source their products from locations with good human rights and sustainable environmental laws. This is seen both as a potential concession to Trump and the European right.

IMO: When people start getting desperate, the first thing to go is their pretensions. For them to give up their green strategy and „don’t be evil“ laws so quickly at the first rumblings of crisis, they didn’t really care about them in the first place.

This is yet another example of Europe dropping its peaceful and ethical pretensions and returning to the traditional European policies. This is from France, the country with the largest neo-colonial sphere in the „*Françafrique*“, the name itself should be a giveaway, either being read as „French Africa“ or „a source of cash for France“

The „end of history“ good guy image is just that, an image. nothing more.

    3. lat least get transactional about it. get something in return from trump if they do, but not surprising from the epp
