Absolutely terrible deal and a prime example on why or spending sucks and receives no support from Canadian voters .
The cost of not pulling out of this deal and operating two different vehicles is greater then staying in it .
I very much see this getting renegotiated or used as a card in out trade talks with America.
Carney is going Euro , they’re entering a arms race and the we can easily redefine our defense spending with partnerships in bulk spending,manufacturing and development.
If we don’t at least half our defense spending with America I’ll be spitting mad , this is a huge opportunity for not only our armed forces but the citizens aswell .

I mean I’m on board with consumer rights around right to repair 100%, but the initial framing of this around the F-35 debacle is out of place at best and downright hilarious at worst. Both are problems that are only similar in concept if you zoom out to the point of meaninglessness.
The critical reliance of the F-35 platform on American-controlled parts and software and the effect this has on Canadian sovereignty doesn’t really have to be lumped into the same box as the difficulties I might have in repairing my laptop of smartphone. The strategic concerns are not so similar that they need to be talked about together.
