I’m glad the provincial government is out there solving the real problems we’re facing. This change will definitely go a long way towards fixing the cost of living crisis.
I really don’t know why the government is doing this. The convention has been set from time immemorial (in large part due to the fact there is no Ontario Privy Council).
Further, giving the lifelong postnomials of “E.C.O” is another further inappropriate break with tradition trying to make some sort of comparison to the Privy Council. Former federal ministers have the postnomials “PC” because they are members of the Privy Council for life. Provincial ministers are not members of the Executive Council for life so why give them postnomials in perpetuity? Also, using periods between postnomials is just stylistically incorrect.
Some really trailer park nonsense here.
That’d be alright if they actually acted that way. If you have been repeatedly investigated by the police while in office, you probably don’t deserve that title.
So, they know they wouldn’t be called honourable by their deeds, they make it law they get called honourable. The egos on these people..
