Afederal judge ruled Monday that the Trump administration’s dismantling of the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), a congressionally approved nonprofit organization, was „unlawful“ and declared the administration’s actions „null and void.“

DOGE should not be allowed to do anything when they can’t understand the difference between „lawful“ and „unlawful“.

*“the White House violated the law by firing the agency’s staff without congressional approval.“*
No problem. Trump will simply have the Republicans in congress eliminate the agency for him.

I keep seeing these rulings, the question is whats being done to enforce the ruling? is the money being put back? when will someone be held accountable? these rulings are just being ignored. until someone does time, these rulings are worthless

Huh. I remember a time when a president who broke the law (ie unlawful) was an impeachable offense.

Thats nice, what are they going to actually do about it? My bet is on a bunch of nothing.
when normal people to „unlawful“ things there are punitive actions.

DOGE in itself is unlawful and should be nullified. An office that has oversight over all congressional spending and no congressional oversight whatsoever is unconstitutional. Just because it is executive does not mean the executive doesn’t have to take any input.
The corrupt politicians in Washington need to grow a spine and realize they are going to end up greatly hurting themselves in the long run if they acquiesce in the short term. It was never about doing what they’re doing now, it’s about what they want to do next.

So will they now rehire those who were sacked? Like what is next for the Institute now that DOGE has been voided?

It was all unlawful. Will anything be reinstated?

Surely, there will be consequences, right?

It is good for now but that new “big barfilicious bill” that they have been moving through basically gives the power of purse to Trump as well as the judicial branch interpretation of laws under him. If that bill passes, we all are screwed

yeah? now put them in prison. oh wait. its all a sham and lawful or not doesnt mean jack shit.

I bet almost all that shit that was done by an unelected idiot ends up being unlawful
