Don’t worry though, some politicians friends who were given the contracts to provide these buses for way more than they’re worth made a looot of money out of it. From your pocket to theirs.
Thank goodness councils spent it on that rather than renovating streets of houses, or fixing roads, or a million other wastes of money.

Ahh so hydrogen is finally being realized as a waste of time, who’d of thought it … Would have been wiser to keep pushing EV battery reclamation and recycling research and facilities to reduce waste and extraction requirements.

Councils have spent millions on hydrogen buses so plagued with faults that many vehicles have been left trapped in depots for months at a time.
> Liverpool, Birmingham and Aberdeen Councils are among those that have faced challenges with their hydrogen bus fleets, including high maintenance costs and a lack of fuel supply.
> At least 139 hydrogen buses have been purchased by local authorities for around £500,000 each, as part of trials of the new technology in recent years.
OMG. Simple problem, simple solution. Engines and car tech are so efficient these days. Just use oil…

Electric busses are really quiet, really efficient and can charge at the depot.
They also don’t need regular changes of engine oil.
When the busses that go up and down my street went electric I didn’t notice for months until I heard one whisper quietly as it went past. They are great.

Such a dumb fuel source (at the moment) as it takes more electricity to produce than power it can output.
Around 50kWhs to produce 1kg that can output around 33kWhs.
If we can crack that imbalance, it would be incredibly viable, but pointless for vehicles at present.
