That’s essentially the population of both of those countries and the borders of neighbouring countries.
This is blatantly false. In fact it’s an open question whether nuclear winter as a concept has any validity at all. This is not hard to find in the literature. Most articles like these are written by people with an agenda, typically nuclear disarmament which of course would make the world immeasurably less safe.
