„Es ist echt y’all“: Die Leute teilen ihre Tarifbelege und meine Brieftasche ist nicht bereit für das, was kommt – „Die Produktkosten beträgt 524 USD und die Tarifgebühr beträgt 890 US -Dollar.“

Yup.
I’m a contractor that services production and testing facilities. My one customer disclosed they were paying $30,000 in tariffs for their shipments where they previously didn’t have to.
Trump has no idea how much his tariffs will implode normal American finances. He doesn’t shop, probably has never entered a Walmart or a grocery store. And he doesn’t appear to care much about anything right now except his gift plane.
Be mindful of what you’re buying and r/votewithyourdollar . Don’t support values you don’t want to support
Soon there will be an Executive Order about this don’t worry
WTF are people still buying stuff? Let the businesses go broke from Donnie von Shitzinpants‘ tariffs! That’s the ONLY way to send a message to Donnie’s shit filled brain!
I bought my hair extensions the other day (I know not a necessity) and they added on a tariff surcharge of 20% 🫠
„I have the receipts“ has a whole new meaning now. I’m glad wyze is backing up Walmart by showing how they are impacted. I don’t know what sell but I’ll buy from them. Lol
Make sure you thank the person who suddenly made everything more expensive.
What’s depressing is seeing some people only start to get upset because their wallets get impacted. Not the bigotry, corruption, incompetence, fascism, etc.
We need to flip this back on the administration and instead of calling them tariffs they should be referred to ask the Trump Tax Hike that they are.
Fact: neighboring states are going to start shipping stuff to Canada *thEn driving it across the border & trying to not get caught.
Pirate Joe’s 2.0
America chose this path. He said he would do this. Harris warned us exactly what would happen.
The US voted for this. Trump said he would tariff just about everything coming into the country. They had warning but they still voted him in. Consumers pay tariffs – nobody else.
He has said he admires the Venezuelan dictator. Not surprised he’s trying to tank our economy just like maduro.
The plane is his „let them eat cake“ moment.
Those billionaire tax cuts aren’t going to pay for themselves you know. Plus think of the costs of deporting all those people. The Trump regime is on a spending spree and you’re going to pay for it.
Small businesses are gonna fail at massive rates. Shop local is one thing, but I can’t afford to pay double and triple for whatever you’re selling cause i probably don’t need it.
Well to be fair, most of these people probably voted for this. Trump wasn’t at all subtle about what he was going to do.
Yeah I mean pretty much going to stop buying anything that isn’t a complete necessity to survive
> Speaking of Canada, our neighbors to the north have started adding a „T“ symbol on grocery store price labels for imported items that come with a tariff charge.
– Trash cream
– Tear drops

– Train umbrellas
– Trice-a-ronni
– Tripe fruit
– Trump roast
He can’t force retailers to hide this extra charge. He can yell and threaten all he wants, but in the end they have the right to do this.
Retailers will be the most effective means of the widespread awareness about this nightmare of a policy. No one can be dumb enough to think all of them are full of shit. He cannot control this narrative no matter how hard he hits the caps lock.
Our lead time is 14-16 weeks so we’ve already been experiencing the pain of having someone’s project budget doubling due to trumps taxes. A lot of them are simply cancelling for the time being.
We welcome Americans who would like to move to Canada! Come on up, we would love to have you with us!
There’s no one who knows more about Betraying Americans than Trump.
His cuts to life critical programs will kill over 350K Americans, and his incompetence and idiocy are trashing the country. Electing the Orange Traitor for his second term of Terror is the worst mistake in American history.
It’s Trump Tax. Keep saying it. It’s a Trump Tax.
Keep it simple but factual. It’s the Trump Tax. The tariffs are a Trump Tax.
Still unclear if tariffs offset the [billions of dollars](https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2020/01/21/trump-tariff-aid-to-farmers-cost-more-than-us-nuclear-forces/) paid out as relief to farmers who are negatively impacted by… err, tariffs.
Maybe the goal here is really to destroy most small medium businesses and force the low to lower middle glass to bankruptcy. Poor desperate population is easier to control. The rich will always get out ahead.
The tariffs are gonna be GREAT for the smuggling business.
Fun Fact: The US Coast Guard was founded in 1790 to enforce tariff laws in the new United States of America.

You voted for this.
Now it’s FO time.
Husband is in shipping. 300k worth of merch and 450k in tariffs.
*laughs in Canadian*
Leopards, meet faces!
No, no, no…these will be paid by Ghina! We’re going to be swimming in so much cash, we’re going to get rid of income tax!
Also, the sky is definitely green, and grass is now blue. Because that’s what the diaper-wearing geriatric dumbfuck said, and we’re all neutered braindead followers.
Fucking MAGA morons.
I remember when the UK formally left the EU and suddenly we had import charges on things we hadn’t previously.
I had bought a voucher for a nice hotel in Ireland for our 10th anniversary, enough for 2 nights. There was the opportunity to have the voucher put in a nice little personalised gift box for £5 or so extra and I thought „yeah, why not“.
Anyway, one day I get a letter saying I had a parcel at the mail depot but needed to pay customs charges on it, so I go online to pay them, expecting it to be a couple of pounds.
They were asking me for £90. (Roughly $120.)
Not the hotel, not the Irish government, not the EU, not the British government, me. The one guy who was just trying to buy his wife a nice gift. I had to pay it.
This was due to the fact that it was based on the amount I paid for the voucher (not cheap, but not so much that an extra £90 is trivial). Even if it was just a small piece of paper in a little box with some ribbon.
Luckily, I got in contact with the hotel and they just emailed me a voucher to print at my own convenience. This won’t be possible with every imported good.
Just a fun little anecdote about the fun and games of experiencing new barriers to trade.
If you voted R FU. If not tell everyone else who did to F off.
Love how this could maybe normalize a small increase even when we move past all this bullshit. Retailers used COVID-19 as a way to justify increased prices and they never came down after that.
MAGAts won’t ever see this. And if they do, they’ll pull something out of their ass and blame Biden. Because if I’ve noticed anything about Republicans, it’s that they don’t take responsibility for anything.
Yep. Also, a big one for me is that I work on my own car, as well as my wife’s and most parts distributors have announced tariff surcharges. An AC compressor kit that normally costs about $450 last time I checked is now $645. So I’m scrambling around to see which online stores haven’t initiated tariff increases and stocking up on everything from oil filters to other maintenance parts.
He knows what’s he is doing. This is not a “mistake”.
What a lot of people don’t know is that tax money is controlled by local, state and federal government.. but Tariff spending is controlled by the executive branch.
So this money goes directly to Trump to do with as he please.
