I voted for the guy, but it was disappointing that he didn’t plan on this right away. I mean … being a banker was your whole deal, man!

So this „no budget in 2025“ thing was a message softener for tabling it in the fall? I thought it was unbelievable that they would not table a budget this year. The less cynical take is this the government responding to criticism and adjusting.
Appointing the cabinet seemed kind of rushed, it wouldn’t help to also rush the budget while at the same time preparing for the G7.

So basically just a juiced-up fall economic statement, then? Because it really doesn’t make a lot of sense to table „Budget 2025“ in the fall, when there will only be three months left in 2025 at that point.

Can we get a spring economic statement? You want to defer the budget, give us some idea in the meantime of where we are.
