The reason that a mother and her baby were on the [base ](https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/fact-check/fact-check-exposing-myanmar-juntas-propaganda-war-against-operation-1027.html)is because the wives of junta soldiers live on base. They’re even trained to handle [weapons](https://www.irrawaddy.com/news/burma/myanmar-regime-orders-mid-ranking-officers-wives-to-undergo-military-training.html). In this case, the mother was unintentionally killed by a helicopter strafe.
This is heartbreaking. Poor child.
