Walmart supplier here, we did zero importing for a few weeks while the tariffs were 145% on our goods, now that they’re down to 30% (plus the previous 20/25%) it’s a mad dash to get goods on a boat and into stores in time for the back to school season…despite our costs being 30% more due to the tariffs we’re only passing a 10% increase on to Walmart (which they’ve accepted)…when we check retail pricing in their system it looks like they’re passing a 15% to 20% increase on to the consumer…
These tariffs make no sense. They’re a cognitively impaired old man with ignorant ideas trying to bend the will of the world to his, without any comprehension or understanding of what will happen.
Make no mistake, when the cost of goods go up, this is Trump’s fault.
The Republican Party really does believe they can bypass coherent leadership by just bullying, gaslighting, and threatening huh?
Us customers are watching Trump taxes on consumers roll out. Trump is entirely to blame for your rising costs.

So where exactly is the tariff money going? The goods coming into the US, Trump slaps his tariff on the product, the distributor pays the extra fee (tariff) which is then passed onto the retailer who passes it onto the consumer. I repeat, so where exactly is the tariff money going?
One thing is for sure. No business like Walmart is going to just absorb the tariffs and take the hit. Big corporations hold the real power here. He’s just a puppet.

Companies really need to start putting the Tariff Tax Line item on the receipts
Sounds like Walmart needs to start posting the tariff prices on all their products.

On a good note, we can expect his clown show cult to boycott Walmart now. Maybe we’ll see fewer bare backsides and pajamas now.
But if, as Trump has said hundreds if not thousands of times, it’s the foreign country that pays the tariffs then why would Walmart have to pay anything extra the tariffs will have been paid by the foreign country already when Walmart recieves the goods.
Will MAGAs detect this incongruence?
