Essential? We cannot trust South Canada because their authorities uphold a right to bear arms, right up the border.
We need greater scrutiny of what they (persons coming into Canada) are bringing.
It was less than a week ago people were crying fascism about the US Border Patrol doing exit searches before our border crossing.
This problem will never be fixed because people will not tolerate the supposed negative effects of additional policing along the border or in cities.
Canada doesn’t care about illegal guns, they’re too busy making sure the country knows legal gun owners are the problem.
It took Trump going off the rails with his fentanyl nonsense for the government to put any effort towards monitoring our borders.
That tells us that the government would rather „search“ for fentanyl going south out of Canada than monitoring what comes north.
Just imagine if they took the buyback money and put it towards strengthening our borders and making Canada safer.
