I am posting this as the 2nd post in my series to build a bridge to talk about both the Genocide and of course to also build a cultural root which we share in many ways, I found this to be a suitable start and hope to make this a weekly cooperation if there is anyone interested in cooperation, I am a history student and would love to cooperate with an Armenian to make this a series or even a sub, since I don’t want to burden r/armenia for long.

    2. Given your comment, what you want to do is noble and a really good thing to do, and I applaud you.
And I think you are part of the really really really really small percent of Turks that want peace between the countries and citizens. I applaud you for that. It is hard and really difficult to see beyond the environment one was born in and taught from the moment we had no consciousness.

But I am part of the percentage of Armenians who are somewhat skeptical of any move made by Turks. I know it is bad and could be categorized as „racism“, but given how our history is from the beginning to the present day, given how any political, social, and cultural move or idea is done, I do not think my views are wrong.

I believe that my skepticism and caution regarding „peace between Turks and Armenians and respecting cultural and historical identity“ is accurate when I say that you guys want all of that… but only if it is a peace where Turks can get all the advantage and the only true history shown is where „Armenians should apologize bc they were the one’s who invented the genocide and the war and it is their fault. We lived peacefully but it is their fault. What? Hatred towards non-muslim and non-turkish minorities during Ottoman Empire? Panturkism during that time? Nonsense“

Again, don’t base you future actions on what I say… I think it is important and very good what you are doing. I genuinely love and appreciate you trying to amend everything. I haven’t read your previous post, since I have an exam tonight, but I am planning to read it with all my attention and answer you correctly.

What I want to say with this is that I genuinely appreciate what you are trying to do and what you have shown us, but on our side you have to understand the skepticism that is present with any move done by any of you.
Especially since this is the internet and we can’t really know **you** in particular.

Hope you continue with your mission and that everything goes well in your life 🙂
