I would imagine it was nearly broke in the context of a millionaire.

Not broke like us normal people lol

Someone who was raised poor got ripped off in the music industry?

No way, I am very very shocked.

    3. How? The guy was owning his songs and he has some of the most succesfull songs of the 2010’s, how come that wasn’t regularly giving him money?? Like on radio play in the US alone he must make millions…

Edit: just realised that this isn’t the 2000’s anymore and radio play might not be an important thing anymore.

If you have that many fans and can’t make profit, that’s on you.

A lot of us “normies” can be approximately three months away from being homeless. I doubt he was anywhere near that.

    6. Damn, the last time I was under financial collapse I had to sell my Nintendo GameCube.

Let’s just hope to god that 200 million is well managed going forward. I’m not a fan of his music but as a guy the same age as him i feel a lot of sympathy for what has to be a pretty shitty situation in his personal life that he can’t seem to get the opportunity to get out off without the media on his dick. I hope that dude just leaves entertainment entirely and buys some kind of ranch or something far away from the public eye and starts raising cattle or focusing on a hobby completely removed from what he’s known for. He has the ability to comfortably retire and focus on finding himself . Let the kid stay during the summers and every other holiday. Disappear from everyone else.

„Things are getting really tight. I’m in such dire straights, with nothing to show for myself but this fabergé egg collection.“

    9. Sure, I can see that. But, why didn’t he just go in tour? Taylor made over a billion on her your seems like biebs could have cheated 100 million without putting too terribly much effort in.

If I need money, I work harder. I guess I could sell my tea pot collection instead.

I would take this with a grain of salt, ya’ll..

I don’t care enough to provide a source or plead a case BUT apparently the PR firm that Blake Lively hired to smear Justin Baldoni in the media is co-owned by Scooter Braun. Remember his beef with Taylor Swift?

I mean, she had to re-record all of her albums that literally nobody asked for…Justin sells his catalog to Spotify and spoken about how fucked up the music industry is (I’m basing this off of one Bieber/Eilish interview 😅)..

It isn’t entirely crazy to imagine a deal that went sour and some egos were hurt.

Damn..my Belieber is showing. This was fun to write 🙂

      And that’s the tea 🍵

      Edit: sausage fingers

    11. in my very most Chris Crocker voice… *LEAVE BIEBER ALONE… LEAVE HIM ALONE*

Man, so many people without empathy in this thread.

I have never cared for Bieber’s music or image or whatever. But let’s be real: this guy was surrounded by predators his entire life. Large sums of money shifting in and out of his control (directly or indirectly) doesn’t offset the psychological damage done by predators and grifters. And remember that when most of this shit was going down in the early stages of his career, he was a literal child: he placed trust in people who promised him he could trust them.

Taking shots at famous people is easy. Empathy isn’t. Personally, I wouldn’t trade my very average life for this dude’s fame and fortune, ever. He didn’t just „get“ $200M. He’s constantly in the spotlight, every single day, whether he wants to be or not. How is a person supposed to grow under that kind of scrutiny and without any kind of objective role model who isn’t constantly trying to squeeze money out of him? I dunno, maybe I’m naive.

When you saw this rush of artists selling their music catalogues a lot of people were saying this.
