    1. Perhaps the Trump org could manage the real estate redevelopment given its extensive experience and impeccable track record.

But seriously , Trump has been clear and open about his territorial ambitions and desire to expand the land profile of the US. This shouldn’t be too surprising given his real estate background and mindset. People will say to discard both his words and his actions. But he has to be taken seriously. If you just ignore all of his words and actions in analyzing what you think his policy goals are , you are just purely ascribing your own preferences and biases.

Speaking during a press conference in Qatar on the third day of his Middle East tour, the US president reiterated his desire for American administration of the Strip.

He said: “I have concepts for Gaza that I think are very good, make it a freedom zone, let the United States get involved and make it just a freedom zone.“

“I’d be proud to have the United States have it, take it, make it a freedom zone.”

Trump did not specify what this “freedom zone” would entail, but he has previously proposed transferring most of Gaza’s two million-strong population to third countries, most likely Egypt or Jordan.

Trump said „the Gaza problem has never been solved.

„Hamas is going to have to be dealt with,“ he said. „Remember, Oct. 7 was one of the worst days in the history of the world, I think, not just, not just local to this region, it was one of the worst, most atrocious attacks anyone’s ever seen.“
