Looking at the UCP’s actions so far, it might be prudent to examine how Russia was able to annex Crimea. That seems to be the sort of plan the UCP have in mind, by changing the laws to favour their position, and then relying on American force to pick up where the law leaves off.

    2. A recent poll in Alberta found that 51% of respondents think the government should prepare a detailed plan for the province to become an independent country, while 45% are opposed to the idea. If a referendum were held today, 37% would vote in favor of separation and 63% would vote against it. The poll also showed strong support for Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s demands, including 87% support for new pipeline and port access to export oil and gas. If Smith’s demands are not met, 38% of respondents said they would be more likely to support separation, while 20% would be less likely.

Isn’t all of Alberta basically Treaty Land? Like what are you going to do with the First Nations after they said NO, STFU?
