Scarlett Johansson ruft Oscars aus, weil er ‚Avengers: Endgame‘ für das beste Bild geschnupft ist.

Because the first half of the movie is watching a bunch of superheroes do a contrived version of back to the future and the second half is a montage of action scenes laced with nostalgia.

I enjoyed it, but this was exactly what Scorsese was talking about when he compared comic book movies to rollercoasters.  

I say this as a BIG marvel fan, no. It’s not even the best MCU film let alone Best Picture.

It’s 2025. It didn’t get nominated. Lots of movies don’t make the Oscars. Big whoop. Time to move on.

Infinity wars should’ve got the nod, not end game.

Infinity War shits all over Endgame.

I mean what movie would you replace?

Endgame had the most unoriginal plot. Everyone predicted it by the time infinity war finished

The thing all the people who want this film to be recognized are missing is that it’s not a great film on its own. It’s like saying a book should get an award based on a stellar final chapter. The only reason Endgame is considered so good is because of all the heavy lifting every other film especially Infinity War had to put in. If anything Infinity War despite having all the elements of the other films joined together tells a coherent independent story. If you went in skipping everything else you’d likely be less invested in the characters but still heavily invested in the journey.

While I do agree Avengers Endgame being snubbed is part of the problem with the Oscars today, the question is why is she mentioning this now?? It’s true that comic book films get the shaft when it comes to Best Picture but who gives a shit if it’s a good movie it should be nominated why kick genre movies to the curve cause they are not “awards-friendly” in my opinion all genres should be created equal when it comes to Best picture and acting.

RDJ has shown us the way. She could just come back playing a completely different character.

That was not a snub at all, great movie for what it was but it was not BP. I get Black Panther getting nominated but that is the only MCU movie that gets close to deserving one.

Infinity war was much better

On one hand, no, it was a fine movie, not a great one. On the other, it was certainly better than Joker, which did get nominated that year.

She will when those kids start growing up and suddenly needs more money. Maybe not though, she seems like a really solid person haha
