    1. That should be pretty logical in a satellite or planet that is tidally locked though , right ? Because the reason they are tidally locked is that they are so close to their parent planet or star that the difference in gravity between the inward side and outward sign becomes great enough to affect the satellite or planet’s rotation . If the tidal effect is strong enough to cause Io to be the most volcanically active body in the solar system , then we should expect lesser but still noticeable thermal effects on other bodies that are close enough to be tidally locked , no ?
