What will most likely happen in reality is that he’ll take it for a test spin and then it will be parked during his term in office because of security problems. After leaving office, he’ll be the sole user, funded by his Presidential Library after it extorts funds from corporations in exchange for US favors.
So, he gets a free luxury plane to replace his old one and the US pays for it.

In case you’re wondering *why* he’s so adamant to accept this bribe, this quote from an interview with Hannity gives it all away:

When Trump goes to the Middle East, he no longer looks or feels like the richest guy there. That’s it, full stop. He wants this obvious bribe for the same reason he’s obsessed with gold, he puts his name on all his buildings, and his entire brand is „I’m Rich“. He doesn’t care that now he’ll owe Qatar, or that he’ll look weak for having to be given a luxury jet instead of buying one, because he wants the big, fancy, expensive plane for free.
That’s not to say it’s not still incredibly corrupt, but his motivations really are a lot more basic than some people realize. If Saudi Arabia and other countries give big and expensive enough bribes to Trump under the guise of giving it to the government first, we might see a US president recognize Palestine as a sovereign state.
Overlooked in this debacle is the fact that there are TWO Air Force Ones – two nearly identical 747s. Boeing is building TWO new 747-8s to replace these.
The thing is….
1. There is already a new air force 1 being built, and it is farther along than this one, and would be done before this one.
2. The one already being built is brand new. This gifted one is a hand me down, used plane.
3. The one already being built is already paid for, and the prices were locked in before inflation/tariffs/etc showed up… So, even if you were calculating the prices already paid, vs the new cost of refitting the used one he wants, the one we already began is cheaper.
4. He, somehow, thinks he gets to keep it, after he leaves office.
So, the 47th president wants the USA to pay more to refit a second hand used plane, that won’t even be done until after he leaves office, and no sitting president will ever use, and ignore the one that was ordered by the 45th president and is nearly done….. Because he can’t afford his own plane and wants a government handout.
But we should have impeached Obama for wearing a tan suit
