Welp, two more exoplanets added to the catalogs, although these specific ones appear to be inhospitable to (carbon-based) life.

Pace of discovery speeding up yep. 5943 confirmed extrasolar planets since 1992 when the first one was found.
Most of these that are discovered so far are hot planets that orbit really close to their stars because those are the easiest to find via transit or stellar radial velocity changes.
The small rocky planets in the goldilocks zone are difficult to find using current technology. Looking forward to seeing how advanced the instruments will be on NASA’s next-generation flagship Habitable Worlds Observatory space telescope (successor to the James Webb).
