The espionage stuff is a distraction from the sheer audacious unethicality of it all. Cruz gets to claim to be concerned about this, then he will receive all kinds of assurances about how it will be torn down and rebuilt and swept for bugs etc, and then he will be ok with it, comepletely sidestepping the blatant graft and corruption involved.
You know Rafael, for once you have a good point, seems like you should do your job as a Senator and actually fucking hold Trump accountable.

I feel like the spy thing is a red herring.
Assume for a second they could sweep the plane thoroughly, confirm there’s no spy gear or sabotage stuff or whatever.
Its a terrible idea because its a $400 million bribe.
I feel like toads like Cruz are raising the spy issue because it distracts from the blatant unprecedented bribery. Focus on the spy issue, verify the plane is clean, and then we don’t have to talk about the bribery.
He does not really intend to use it as Air Force One … he wants to launder it into his own property via the government. He will continue using the real thing as president and transfer that plane for his private use later.
