We are going to let you go full fascist, but only with a strongly-worded disapproval.

    2. From the article:

      >Chief Justice John Roberts warned a group of graduating laws students Monday that the rule of law is “endangered.”

      >Without naming any names, the conservative justice also said during an event with students at Georgetown University that recent attacks against Supreme Court justices have gone too far.

      >“The notion that rule of law governs is the basic proposition,” Roberts said, according to Politico. “We need to stop and reflect every now and then how rare that is, certainly rare throughout history, and rare in the world today.”

      >In response to a student’s question, he also said criticism of the Supreme Court is a good thing—“so long as it is not trashing the justices,” Bloomberg reported.

      >The comments came as Trump and his supporters have attacked federal judges—including conservative Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett—and ignored judicial rulings.

    3. Roberts, one of the lawyers who helped overturn Gore’s election, was rewarded with a supreme Court seat (along with beer boy and hand maiden).

The SC won’t do anything to stop the corruption, they support it

    4. Fuck him. I have lost faith in the rule of law because of him and the other so-called „conservative“ justices.

The rule of law is endangered because this asshat and his co-conspirators handed the Executive Branch almost unlimited power. They did it because they are partisan fucking hacks, and because they are corrupt.

Roberts is upset because Karoline Leavitt threw out a threat to arrest SCOTUS members maybe three weeks ago, and now he’s feeling the leopards licking *his* face.

      Fuck John Roberts.

Wat. This is the guy who gave Trump a blank check to commit any crimes he wanted.

    7. steve_ample on

You can show your disapproval by ruling against them and explicit putting in all opinions the importance of the rule of law. And the angrier Trump gets, the more sincere I think you are.

    8. Responsible_South229 on

Fuck that guy. He and McConnell are the reasons Trump is back. You don’t like it don’t write opinions that give him the go ahead to trash our constitution…

    9. rapidcreek409 on

Yes, the solution to this lawless clusterfuck is to „stop and reflect every now and then“. Says the judge who gave a fascist con man blanket immunity.

So “riding the tiger” isn’t working well for the supremes. They granted him the power he is now abusing …… fuck them!

    11. Look at that brow. So furrowed. So disapproving. This will really stop the fascists in their tracks.

Posturing in hopes of maintaining what he imagines is a “legacy”.

Roberts turned what was the U.S. Supreme Court into a branch of the Executive. SCOTUS is a joke that exists to rubber stamp whatever Trump does. Roberts is a coward and it’s too late to go back now. History will remember him as one of the key figures in causing the US to slide into autocracy.

Until the Supreme Court holds the Trump administration in contempt for refusing to follow thier ruling on deporting American citizens.

Trusting anything Robert’s says while doing nothing to stop all the death threats to judges means Robert’s is disingenuous in everything he says

    14. Most-Artichoke6184 on

These headlines are complete bullshit. The Supreme Court does not remotely disapprove of Donald Trump. He has a guaranteed majority for whatever action he takes.

    15. CanaDoug420 on

Remember when the Supreme Court ruled that we had to bring the American back from El Salvador 9-0 and Trump said no and then nothing happened. I don’t the the Supreme Court means dick anymore.

This dude has no concept of humanity or trusts people too much to do the right thing. Its like he missed the lesson that absolute power corrupts absolutely and every decision he has sided with has indicated that. He trusts dollars to have a conscience in Citizens United and he trusts a felon President not to abuse total immunity. He may be smart enough to make it to the Supreme Court but he is stupid when it comes to humanity and their actions.

    17. RumRunnerMax on

Does Roberts realize that he has, in fact, completed fucked himself out of power?

    18. Ok, so then let’s see a solid „apperantly we need to clarify what certain official acts are and are not, as well as emoluments, executive actions and oh also congress absolute power of purse and impeachment“

But no, more like a parent voicing worry over the antisocial behavior of the child they never said NO to.

He could ask Schumer for advice on writing a strongly worded letter.

    20. Due_Entrepreneur_382 on

You mean…after enabling him and allowing, *broad sprawling gesture*

    21. SeparateSpend1542 on

You know what would have been great in this situation? Having laws apply to the president. Who on the Supreme Court could have possibly seen this obvious thing coming?

    22. belikethemanatee on

He should wear a hotdog costume instead of his robe for the rest of his time on the bench

    23. Ya know what would give an even bigger sign? Toss out that most idiotic immunity decision.

    24. Hyperion1144 on

The only sign that mattered was the one he signed granting presidential immunity.

Trump doesn’t care about the Roberts court. Trump doesn’t have to care about the Roberts court.

Roberts is the reason why he doesn’t have to care.

John Roberts is a fucking pussy and Trump’s bitch.
