She’s breaking the law to further stoke unity divisions. Because she’s such a weak premier. I know she wants Carney to respond but fuck it, respond. Stick to your guns and impose the increase. She should not be rewarded for this. Alberta isn’t going anywhere. And the world is still on fire.
Won’t someone think of the oil companies and their next quarter????
I watched an interesting cbc panel on this topic yesterday. Surprisingly most of them seemed to all be in agreement that the economy took a backseat to the environment over the last decade. They were saying he won’t impose the increase on Alberta and will probably push some projects to help Alberta get its resources to market since that’s all they’ve been asking for the last decade.
It was actually quite refreshing to hear these kinds of things talked about on CBC with people recognizing Alberta’s frustrations in this whole thing. It gave me a bit of hope, might have to change my flair if he follows through on these things.
