One interesting feature of the election which isn’t talked about that much is how weak the Conservatives were in Quebec City last election. It’s traditionally been one of their best regions in the country, but it didn’t go too well for them this time around. The Liberals won Lightbound’s seat in a landslide, won Beauport-Limolou(a Conservative target), and significantly narrowed the margin in the two seats the Conservatives hold there. Lightbound seems pretty popular there, and I bet they’re making a play to try to sweep the city next election.

It seems that Poilievre’s message resonated with Montreal/Outaouais, but highlighted weakness in their traditional Quebec strongholds.
