      Considering he wants to tarrif them to death, I don’t see how that’s remotely possible. Also, he voided so many executive orders that did lower costs so it’s like.::he’s lying.

      I would applaud him if he did something like this, but really what I think he’s doing is holding the medication companies hostage so that they donate more money to the Trump organization somehow.

      Maybe he’ll force them to buy more bitcoin or something and then scrap the plan? I’m not sure what the con is, but there is one I’m sure.

      This likely won’t have any sort of impact. Drug prices are artificially inflated due to the PBM’s. They’re literally the middle men going between drug companies and then healthcare plans/pharmacies. Pfizer doesn’t charge them 5k for insulin, they pay 1k and then jack the price up for the consumer all while we blame the pharma companies for having sky high drug costs.

      Additionally, I work in pharma and the reason drug prices are so low around the rest of the world is because they make more money here than anywhere else in the world. That and other countries having universal healthcare and laws to protect against companies from having crazy prices in the first place.

      This is another thing he’s saying he’ll do and won’t follow through. Move along.

      Edit: even if he does it he deserves zero credit for it since this was actually a Biden administration initiative with authorization from congress that HE HIMSELF REVERSED. He is literally turning the lights off, complaining about how dark it is and then saying he’s going to turn the lights back on. I mean, conservatives will eat this up as usual but I think it’s important to keep a record of all the nothing burgers and self fellating this administration does.

      This will most likely never materialize into anything tangible and instead is a desperate attempt to improve his polling and distract from everything else (most recently, the blatant corruption of taking a $400M bribe in the form of a golden jumbo jet).

      If I’m wrong, and somehow prescription drug prices are lowered significantly, then I will grudgingly admit that Trump may have accidentally done something good for someone for once.
