I was once at a software review where some military types showed up that had doughnuts with a voluntary donation box next to them. Part of the way through the review the ranking officer got up and told the military guys that the hadn’t donated enough to avoid any perception of impropriety and they all got up and threw in some more money.

But the supreme court has made it clear that he can’t be prosecuted for things like this because technically it is an „official Act“. So this one is not on Trump, this is on Roberts and the conservative branch of the courts.
