      Wait, so you’re telling me that governments in Canada end homelessness without persecuting the homeless? Imagine the shock!

      Seriously though, we need more policy like this. We live in one of the richest countries in the world, and the fact that homelessness still exists is a political choice and a policy failure. Homelessness should be eradicated in this country, with more housing built and stuff. Jailing, or persecuting them, like what some conservative and liberal governments do, won’t fix shit.

    2. And once again we learn the lesson that the best way to end homelessness, is to just give the homeless homes. Recovery can’t begin until you can achieve stability. A home provides stability.

      I look forward to us learning this lesson again in another province in another 5-15 years

      It will be fascinating to see the after-effects of said policy laid out in raw data. Perhaps a Canadian example will finally convince those who are against this sort of thing.

      (Reduced crime, reduced healthcare costs, etc)
