Carney of all people knows he can’t direct his own central bank dump US treasuries let alone anyone else’s.
Easy read , Carneys is using Trumps motivations agianst him to break Canada away from the monopoly that’s been bleeding and handicaping our economy for decades .

The environment in canada right now is literally his dream world , what he’s been preaching and studying and practicing his whole career in economics is with in grasp .
Expect Carney to move real slow in moving towards deals with America, the pain is manageable right now and he’s effectively iced the combative aspect of it . Hes going to shift and move the Canadian economy as much as he can before he seeks settling out new trade deals with America.
Carney is being highly underestimated , even by his own voters . Crunching numbers and identifying markets isn’t what accelerated him past the average banker , hes uniquely built for integrating psychology, economics and social value together.
When he says the old relationship we had is done , he ment it and we should all be pushing with support towards that because most don’t even understand how bad of a deal we’ve had .
Donald J Trump might of done us the biggest favor , Carney jumping is a huge indication that there’s some really big potential in this otherwise shitty situation.
