***Exclusive from Lorena O’Neil for Rolling Stone:***

As Republicans and Democrats prepare to face off about Medicaid cuts in next week’s Energy and Commerce Committee meetings at the House of Representatives, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is vehemently speaking out against threats to Medicaid.

“They’re robbing people in order to hand it over to the rich,” the progressive New York lawmaker tells Rolling Stone. “Medicaid is one of the largest insurers in the United States of America.”

They’re also recreating the best environment (a depression) for a fascist takeover.

Republican politicians are robbing Republican voters to pay for billionaire tax cuts, and if Republican voters wised up to that, maybe they would see that their leaders don’t give a damn about them. This is not the right against the „libs“, but the extremely wealthy against everyone else.

    4. But but but that’s not what Faux news said. Sigh. One would think that trump is so bad for business that even the media owning oligarchs would have turned on him by now. I’d like to think that it’s Nixon losing Cronkite, knowing he lost the country. If trump loses Fox perhaps then congress will find its spine.

Everyone who doesn’t make 10 million a year is being made to sit in the chair in the corner of the hotel room by republicans. The biggest corner chair cluck are those making 100,000-1,000,000 a year. They the ones who think they getting over, but in reality they being robbed blind, they the biggest marks of them all.

Yes. When Republicans cut the entitlements the USA workforce pays for to fund the billionaires tax breaks that is robbery.

    7. Water is wet people. This always has been happening, for some reason people still struggle to believe this.

    8. My mother in law is a maga loyalist. Just the other day she was telling me that healthcare is a waste and doctors don’t know anything and we need to go back to common sense, whatever that means. They are already being conditioned to reject healthcare.

    9. No shit. Anyone who doesn’t realize that Trump is selling off America’s assets to the same people whose taxes he is so eager to lower is either a cult member or not paying attention. Trump has bankrupted just about every business he has ever been involved in, and he’s about to bankrupt the US to enrich himself and the people who are aiding and abetting him. It’s the crime of this century and so many people are going to suffer for it, but Americans are either cheering it on, don’t care, or waiting for someone else to fix the situation. We are entering a dark age, I believe. Lots of conflict, uncertainty, and the roll back of decades of progress.

The disappointing thing is that many of us knew this was going to happen, yet America was like, ‚Let’s vote for trickle-down economics again. I’m sure it will be different this time.‘

    11. Let’s not forget that this is what Republicans want for America and are currently actively supporting.

Cutting Medicaid is literally stealing from the disabled and sick to pay for the richest tax cuts. It’s cruelty that’ll kill and it doesn’t affect them in the slightest

Yes. Our taxes aren’t being reduced like they are with the wealthy, but services are being literally chainsawed out of existence.

    14. Why aren’t people madder and doing something about this Trump induced mess? He is wrecking the country. That means decimating it to give fat billionaires more money in tax cuts. It’s the billionaires who should be funding the country more to make it better for everyone. I know they’re heartless, selfish and greedy….But why is no one else doing something as their world is dismantled around them?
Too fat, stupid and lazy or what?
      Even millennials?

    15. And they won’t pay any political price for it either. Because their base are not forward thinking intelligent people.

For the past four years the 1% have gotten wealthier while the rest have been struggling but now the news is covering because it’s the Trump administration.

Sadly they don’t listen. They are happy to see programs they don’t think they need but actually rely on cut and think it’s fair that billionaires should keep more of their money – despite despising the “liberal elite”

They want to give the ultra rich big tax cuts and then pay for them by selling off public lands to those same people. The reason to tax the rich is because if we do not the rich will buy every last asset and the rest of us will have nothing.
