    1. And yet again, the school of „nothing ever happens“ has proven itself again.

Maybe both states calculated their expected wins and losses and decided that it’s not worth the escalation.

I’m repeating from the starting no one in india wants war first people and Govt wants to focus on economy and in Pakistan they don’t have money to fight war. You can fight with India just by asking for loans from IMF and other countries

My take here is Pakistan figured there was no real point in further escalation. Escalating into a full war would be worse for them because for all their bravado even Pakistan probably doesn’t want to take a chance on „fifth time’s the charm“. And all we have done is respond to Pakistan’s escalation so no issue from our side

It’s probably a bit too early to say what the exact role of the US was. We’ll have to wait for more info

Just as everyone predicted, India gained nothing except for the losses on the battlefield. The strikes by Pakistan on Indian Air Bases knocked sense into the minds of the Indian Decision Makers that this is not going to be one sided as we thought it would be, so glad hostilities have ended. Pakistan gave India face saving by showing restraint, so now Indian Government can take this as a win and show whatever propaganda it wants to show similar to Feb 2019 because the Indian Public will literally buy whatever the Indian Government will tell them as we saw in Feb 2019.

    5. It’s been an hour or so, and OSINT sources are saying that shelling has resumed, so the „ceasefire“ hasn’t held. Maybe it’s just a pause.

Personally, I had a feeling that it wouldn’t really hold, so if it’s true, my gut feeling is validated

Will give credit to the US for this. They were the only ones who had enough sway with both sides to end this swiftly.

India and Pakistan are two drunk people at a bar who just wanna yell and be held back by others instead of openly fight each other. They got their licks in, time to move on. This was the also a very frustrating conflict to track due to the volume of misinformation online available from both sides.
