Sovereignty doesn’t mean no American aid. It means no foreign aid. Partnering with China is like taking the spare key from the annoying neighbor and giving it to the criminal across town.
If the EU wants to get in bed with a genocidal dictatorship on the otherside of the world they can do that. But they need to look themselves in the mirror and realize this is a betrayal of all the ideals they claim to stand for.
Eu leaders have long demanded America leave Europe. Now that they look like they are they immediately find another superpower to throw themselves at. Why do we trust European Leaders to make good decisions again? Last time they were in charge of the world we got 2 world wars.
