Conservatives SAY they wish their leader to change.
He does not wish to.
Conservatives refuse to change their leader.
Therefore, they accept the status quo and want to keep doing the same thing over and over.
22 years with the modern Conservative party – 1 4-year term of majority government. Results speak for themselves. Without change, they are structurally screwed.

He’s not going to change. This is his personality and you can’t fundamentally change your personality. He can pretend but people will see right through it. Get a new leader with strong conservative values. The time for populism is over.

I don’t think the Poilievre people view this as a real defeat. They have all the justification they need to tell themselves it was random circumstance that led them here. And who knows, they might be right, almost half the country voted for someone with… that personality. If Trudeau hadn’t been forced to resign we might have a Poilievre majority government.

If he could change, he would have during the Liberal leadership campaign when Carney was shooting up in the polls.
It wasn’t a refusal to pivot, it was an inability to.

Conservatives should want to change their leader. Not have their leader change… that’s impossible. He’s too one dimensional.

Conservatives: He *will* change, *this* time !
*Everyone* Else: No, a leopard does not change it’s spots..
