      That is quite dire. I’m fairly sure he’d make an even worse leader than Badenoch.

      And these are also complaints against Jenrick.

      They will keep her another year maybe 2 then parachute in someone for the next GE that „totally“ had nothing to do with the previous Tory gov.

      I don’t think my towns local conservative party exists anymore. I think most of the hard core conservatives have gone to reform.

      Doesn’t matter who they chose. Half the party is full of Tory Wet/Lib Dem entryists.

      Nobody believes a thing they say.

      Reform is the Party of the centre right.

      The Conservatives are finished.

      Leaving voting to the general public (that are Tory members) is insane — you’re always going to get the more extreme of the two remaining candidates …_leading to this_. 

      Who remembers when politics was actually quite boring? Yet those are the times we wistfully look back on with glee (and rose tinted glasses of course).

      It’s actually a kind of funny trope you see sometimes in the business world that has clearly crossovered to politics.

      You put a woman in charge when the ship starts to sink. Think about how many women have been elected into office since Thatcher, that’s ZERO.

      But since Brexit? A whole THREE!

      I mean, they’ve gotta put the worst person in for the job after such a dire loss at the last general election. That way, when someone who looks vaguely normal becomes party leader, it’ll make a bigger impact.
