I’m trying not to jump to conclusions about the people who are angry.
For those not from Peterborough, the labour party here is a toxic mafia that needs bringing down, destroying and then recreating as it’s failing the city.
We have numerous councillors suspended for anti-semitism and supporting terrorist pro–Jihadi organisations. We have two jailed for going house to house rounding up votes and rigging their own wards – these two also supported a racist murderer and acted as character witnesses at the trial.
This was my councillor. She was completely useless and not up to the job – they have given us a 19 year old kid more interested in clubbing than any local issue (including this one!) and a 22 year old Young Tory as an MP who hasn’t been seen since election night. However, the abuse and treatment she’s received from her own party is not unusual – I remember it the same when I was a member. There’s a nasty section of the party that have ridiculous control and are forcing out anyone that doesn’t agree with their warped views. The candidates we are getting are either children or criminals. Those pulling the strings hold nasty views the rest of us find abhorrent.
Subsequent leaders have accepted this in return for support

Peterborough City Council and its local politics is a dumpster fire of infighting. Even the green councillors were having a spat earlier this year.
