This should be the standard Democrat response. Almost nobody who asks these questions is asking them in good faith. It’s textbook „gotcha“ question bullshit. Brush it off and move on.
Leave trans people alone. They’re not harming anyone. They’re people just like everyone else. The lawmakers do have better things to do than single out a minority for no reason. They just make an easy target for Republican scare tactics, and Republicans are moally corrupt.

Love Gov. Hobbs. One of the best aspects of her tenure is that her winning the governorship drove that imbecile former newscaster out of the news and out of politics. Good riddance.
The only negative I have with this phrasing is that protecting trans rights _is an issue that matters_. Our access to healthcare matters. Our access to public spaces matters. Our access to equal opportunity in employment and housing matters.
