tldr; Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has called for simplifying Ethereum’s architecture, citing Bitcoin’s simplicity as a model. In a blog post, he highlighted the drawbacks of Ethereum’s complexity, including higher development costs, security risks, and limited participation in protocol research. Buterin proposed simplifying Ethereum’s consensus and execution layers, suggesting a transition to a new virtual machine for greater efficiency. He believes these changes could make Ethereum more robust and user-friendly within five years.

He’s right, one ETH biggest issues is user interface and all the layers. Grandma is never gonna figure it out.

In other words, he just should have stuck to Mastercoin and not have created another blockchain.

ETH has turned into a sad PoS ’super-sound‘ joke.

Finally! I’ve been wondering why Ethereum has been focusing on adding all this crazy tech that takes a PHD to understand, yet has had no real improvements to usability for the last 5 years.

Oh he finally said the thing Bitcoin maxis have said for years and years.

Got too complicated and too expensive for what it is. Hopefully there is a solution that simplifies this before ETH can be considered for mass adoption.

That headline is just bait. Tons of Maxi’s who haven’t read the blog post just in eating up lies.
The language change is proposed to allow fast and more tractions, it wouldn’t lose any features and would be just as complicated as before.

ETH to the moon very soon!!

Disagree. Ethereum works like a linux kernel. It must be complicated. In the long term, users most likely shouldn’t interact directly with ethereum core.
Price? Basically, ethereum needs to guarantee its market success by charging apps/l2s/sidechains/ … for using ethereum security. I am not talking about the tx fee. Ethereum has still a long way to go. I believe sooner or later an algorithmic pricing for ether will come. Market traders shouldn’t have any say in ether price in long term, just some volatility.
