Trump clearly has marked symptoms of dementia and cognitive decline since 2023, yet even as someone who’s comfortable diagnosing mental illnesses, I can’t safely diagnose him; although I can say there is a temporal difference that wasn’t there before.
More and more I’m convinced his policy decisions are based on whatever he read or saw and he goes all in based on that.

Listening to him describe how he should have been a movie maker when asked about this, my first thought was that he’d definitely just watched a movie about Alcatraz. Per Midas touch, the Clint Eastwood film „Escape from Alcatraz“ was being broadcast in South Florida the night before he started talking about this.
