Great news I must say. Regardless of the MP’s party or who rules the country, Azerbaijan should never be „too close“ to Russia for historical reasons. There must always be a suspicion through your relationships. I mean, can you imagine Poland, Finland, Baltic countries being „strategic partners“ or „allies“ with Russia? Of course you cannot. However, Azerbaijan still shouldn’t provoke Russia as there is a shared border (same exactly goes to Iran, btw) and Russia is still, well, powerful in one way or another. But congratulations. First Netanyahu not coming, now this. Great for Azerbaijan.
