Say you go to the grocery store… and the uhhh… grocery concierge… tells you that a 10 pound of potatoes costs $400…

Trump calls price hikes ‘peanuts’—easy to say when you’ve never shopped anywhere other than a golf club.

Well when you’re a billionaire it’s hard to relate to the average American. When his base starts foreclosing and defaulting on loans because they can’t afford the delay expense of living you’ll see them try to reverse course and blame the democrats

    4. Don’t worry Maga’s all will be fine in say 5-10 years when we’ve built up all those big beautiful factories. Just be patient until then, even though you lost your collective minds because an omelet cost a buck more during Biden’s post-Covid recovery.

Donald Trump doesn’t give a shit about you or the little man. The only thing making America great again is him with his foot on your throat.

    6. > „that’s peanuts compared to energy.“

I genuinely have no idea what his point is supposed to be.

In Canada, I have noticed some overnight price increases on some non-grocery products, I guess products that Canada put tariffs on to counteract US tariffs. Luckily I was able to price match with some stores that haven’t changed prices yet. But yeah it’s coming on both sides of the border.

A man who has lived a life of opulence and wealth now telling those who voted for them they don’t need to consume as much and can pay extra for things. After running on the economy and price of eggs.

      This is the worst timeline.

His McDonald’s combos went down in price.

When was the last time this asshole was actually in a supermarket?

    10. Donald Trump hates you.

I don’t even need to know if you’re on the left or right. The statement still holds.

    11. We got our 30-year-old heat pump replaced last year, and I’m sure glad we did. The HVAC company we use sent an email this week advising customers to buy their new systems now, because by summer prices will increase by 30-40 percent.

Guy has never had to worry about the cost of food, never shopped for groceries. Never had to find a fucking parking space. Sick fucking country that the rural poor voted for him.

I really want a journalist to ask him what he believes a good price for bananas per pound is just to get a concept of how poorly he thinks.

“We have some great retailers. I assume they pre-ordered.” – Bessent, betting the farm on an assumption.

    15. Telling Americans that price increases are peanuts when 70-80% of American households live paycheck to paycheck with no savings is really something.

If Trump isn’t a name that is synonymous with Hoover in 2028, I’ll be shocked.

    17. The country skewered and lost their collective shit when prices went up under Biden and the media hounded him on it non stop. Will the media and the country treat Trump similarly? Or will they lower the bar for his miserable entitled ass just like they’ve been doing for the last 10 fucking years?

I had to actually turn this off because I couldn’t stand listening to him. He also said it was a „terrible interview“ because she was asking him questions he didn’t like.

Here’s my question *Donald* if the tariffs are not going to raise prices and not going to cause shortages, why wouldn’t girls just continue having 30 dolls?

Either there won’t be enough dolls, or they will be too expensive.

      Is there another option?

Gas prices are down? No they aren’t. I live in Texas where some of the cheapest gas prices actually are. It is NOT gone to under $2 since he has been in office. Period. It hit lower numbers under Biden then it has under Dump. I am so sick of his endless lies and the people who believe them. While gas prices haven’t surged, they aren’t lower and they would have to be FAR lower to make up for the rising price of everything else.

But yeah, his brainwashed sheeple continue to believe the idiocy he spouts, even though the evidence of the lies is right in front of their eyes.

      >“Energy is 60 percent of the costs.“

60% of WHAT costs? Life costs? Another blatant lie. I pay about $80 a month on gas for my car. On the WORST month of summer (in Texas) I pay about $400 for my utility bill and $35 for gas. That equals $515 a month for „energy“ costs. That is .60% of $859 (rounded up the pennies). So according to his math, the rest of my expenses are only $344. Yeah, they aren’t. You could multiply that $344 by 10 and it still wouldn’t be my monthly expenses.

The idiocy is mind blowing. HOW does someone as stupid as he is get elected to the highest office in the land????

    20. According-Mention334 on

Ah yes this coming from a man who has never had to pay for anything in his life or even work.

Easy to say when you’ve grifted a couple billion w you’re own crypto token in the last 3 mos

    22. I mean, I guess it is if you’re expecting gun battles in the streets at some point—but I’m sure that that has never crossed his mind…

His approval rating is going to take a big hit, and he’ll be crying about fake polls

Hate that simply saying NUH-UH has become a commonly used defense for the president

    26. Gronkattack on

To those with means yes the price increases are more of an inconvenience then a problem, but for the average household living paycheck to paycheck it leads to hard decisions.

    27. Elected officials should be forced to live on the median income of their county/district/state/etc. either to be eligible to hold office or at least between election day and when they take office.

    28. Wonderbread_exe on

Just went into Home Depot today, and they’re promoting HVAC deals now by saying “HVAC will cost 30% more soon due to tariffs”…

    29. PoliticsLeftist on

Ah so when it was Biden’s economy it was the end of the fucking world because it was so bad but now that it’s Trump’s economy it’s just a little, tiny, miniscule price increase because patriotism.
