      FYI: Contrary to the previous parliament, the chamber does not have Ataturk or the motto „Sovereignty belongs to the Nation“. He apparently isn’t allowed to practice the big dreams in Turkey, thus exploits Cyprus as a playground to satisfy himself. While spending big $$$ on some palace in a foreign land, earthquake victims still don’t access to proper housing – as Erdogan had implied they wouldn’t get services if they were to vote for the opposition/social democrats.

      That big mosque in 0:44 isn’t a historical structure. We have them everywhere in Turkey, especially in most iconic squares and areas next to bars/pubs (so he would have an excuse to remove them), and the funnier is that no one attends those mosques. Just wasting taxes at this point.

      I wonder who will pay for the upkeep. This can’t be cheap to maintain, not even speaking about renovation in a few years.

      Again my taxes went to some ridiculous palace. I wonder how many palaces he is planning to build? You have 5-10 years left to die, leave this palace passion behind. What a big ambition is this. I fcking sick of it

      Mind you that, besides being an inferior and ugly copy-cat of the Turkish neoclassical architecture, the idiot who have designed this thought that it’d be a great idea to have copy-cat Seljuk style in it… on and island where Seljuks haven’t even set their foot to. In any way, it’s some really tasteless nonsense, but also one that doesn’t fit to context, even in the slightest.

      From what I understand is that most turks don’t even have the money to buy everyday essentials, and he chooses to Flex on them by building this?! Damn.

      Fuck erdogan’s palace but the reality is it took them less time to build the palace than RoC to fix one bridge in the Nicosia – Limassol highway

      Hospitals, schools, better transport system… money could have been spent on anything better than a complex that is the architectural equivalent of a dick measuring contest.
