    1. From the article:

The attorneys for Luigi Mangione, the man accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, filed a Thursday motion seeking to dismiss state charges against him.

Lead lawyer, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, argued that dueling federal charges would amount to double jeopardy for her client.

I love his loafers. Really fits with his love of Elon musk, Tucker Carlson and billionaires. Check out his Twitter account.

I feel like they right move is to ask for dismissal of federal charges, and deal with it at the state level, to keep trump and his cronies away from it.

    4. There won’t ever be a fair trial for this guy. Should be hammering this over and over.

I mean, sure. Throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.

But the dual sovereignty doctrine is well established and this isn’t double jeopardy.

I interned at the DA and it’s been insane to see the level of treatment that this case gets compared to the average person.

Edit: obviously it’s a kangaroo court. But just like- this has been so vivid in showing who is actually valued in this country.

Since most of the evidence was obtained illegally, the case should dismissed.

    10. I haven’t read the papers but seems like a clear deny. Separate sovereigns.

    11. The same people who glaze him because they believe he did it will be the first ones to tell you “alleged” and “innocent until proven guilty”
