Fetterman confused and seeming more conservative is still better than Dr. Oz.
He probably wouldn’t be allowed to pilot a small GA aircraft.
But he’s allowed to govern the country.

It is sadly not unusual for people who suffer brain injuries (from serious concussions, tumors, or strokes) to experience personality changes after recovery. Sure they are perfectly healthy… but they are no longer the same person.
Sounds like a study on the link between brain damage and conservatism is in order. Oh, wait… no more studies. Well, if we don’t test there is no problem.
I encourage everyone to actually read the article. This seems like a man who is genuinely experiencing a mental health crisis. I am unsure if he is fit to serve in the Senate at this point.
Yeah, it’s pretty clear that Fetterman has suffered a personality change since his stroke. It’s well known and understood that certain types of brain damage are associated with negative personality changes, including increases in aggression, black-and-white thinking, etc.
Hell, it’s affected politics before. It’s probably why Woodrow Wilson changed his mind about punishing Germany after WW1. He arrived in Europe looking to be conciliatory, but caught a bad bout of the Spanish Flu, and when he recovered he was suddenly much more aggressive and punitive in his stance toward Germany.
I feel bad for the dude. A stroke leading to serious brain damage is terrible.
But it’s time to retire, man. Sheesh.
This article is just damning revelation after damning revelation… I hate to say this about a sitting US senator experiencing massive moral and cognitive failings, but it is *juicy*.
We need to hope he gets ousted in the 2028 primary, he cannot stay in the Senate.

He chased a random stranger down with a gun before he had a stroke. He’s always been unstable. Just like Republicans with Trump, partisan people are trained to ignore problematic behavior from inside their own party. This is only being talked about now because he’s stepped out of line.

5 years ago I was saying this guy has a very strong future in the Democratic Party. Things have drastically changed
I went through an accident a couple of years ago that left me with a TBI. I’m mostly ok now but I’m a different man now. It is not to be underestimated what an impact a damaged brain has on the trajectory of one’s life and decisions.

This entire article is shocking, but the reveals around his driving are horrifying. He apparently scrolls his phone and reads articles on his phone *while driving* and also speeds and drives like shit. And worse, he got into a huge accident where he rear-ended a woman in her 60s and totaled both his and her cars. The cop on the scene said it was a miracle no one was killed. Now imagine that was you or one of your relatives. I have sympathy for his stroke and mental health struggles, but the guy is a danger to himself and others.
Suffer brain damage and you become a Republican. That is the moral of the story.

This is depressing on multiple levels, not just about Fetterman, but that it encourages negative stereotypes of people with both mental and physical health problems.
As far as Fetterman himself? The truth is it’s going to be hard to tell if he was just corrupt from the start or really has experienced a personality change from the damage. Regardless though, this isn’t what his supporters voted for, and he should resign and go try to get into better health.
Kinda fitting that a person would flip from left to right, and claim they’re okay after suffering severe brain damage from a stroke.

There should be a body medical, psychological and cognitive test for every member of Congress and members of the executive administration including the president.
There should be regular FBI investigations into congressional members like they did in the 1980’s but on steroids including the executive branch and judiciary.
There needs to be full financial disclosures and ban on stock trading of all said people above including their families, known and unknown proxies and family trusts while in office.
Brain damage.
It’s very common in America. A lot of people play football growing up, and that’s a fast track to multiple concussions. Childhood nutrition also leaves a lot to be desired for a lot of people (you can even *see it*).
What happened to Fetterman is a decent metaphor for the country.
Mental decline has a strong association with becoming more Right-wing, actually. So this explains a lot.
It is remarkable that after the brain damage, he effectively became a MAGA republican.
Well we will make sure in his coming election that he gets to stay home as he deserves.
